Krytox™ metallization fluids are a range of colorless, fluorinated fluids designed for use in metallization processes. Based on perfluoropolyether (PFPE) chemistry, they are non-reactive, nonflammable, chemically inert, and stable to oxidation.
Krytox™ metallization fluids have outstanding evaporation properties, allowing metallization processes to run at lower and more constant evaporation temperatures. The distillation process used to make these fluids produces a product that results in less residue upon evaporation.
Krytox™ CBF 100 fluids will have a boiling point of about 318 °C (604 °F). Krytox™ CBF 103 should not be used as a boiling fluid because of the possibility of decomposition at higher temperatures.
